Majestic
I contacted Neil for some advice on new valves for my Audio Research amplifier. Not that the stock valves are bad but these are next level. The black background is real and my hifi friends agree!
Oustanding Detail
I have a tube/solid state hybrid headphone amp and this is the best tube I've tried with it. Being a hybrid I was skeptical about how much difference it would make, but the detail retrieval is pretty insane. Highs are spacious and detailed without being sibilant. I think this has a high frequency roll-off, even my DT 990's are softer and less sibilant with this tube, without losing brightness or detail in the high end.
Gold Lion 6922 is a close second, but i found the lion to have more sibilance and was fatiguing after a while. This tube hasn't left my amp in 3 years.
